5 Natural Remedies For Food Poisoning

Ginger and honey are by far the most versatile product in your kitchen. From colds and coughs to food poisoning, there is nothing a little ginger and honey cannot cure. Ginger has been used in Ayurveda (an ancient Indian medicinal science) for thousands of years due to its therapeutic and preventive properties. Ginger helps in digestion through its absorption and assimilation contents, so it works perfectly for relief against nausea and vomiting.

Now there are several ways you can use ginger and honey to cure food poisoning.

  • Make ginger tea

Boil a cup of water and add a spoon of grated ginger to the boiling water. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add a little bit of sugar of honey for better taste.

Add a few drops of ginger juice to a spoon of honey. Mix this well and consume the mixture. This is also good for coughing and cold.

Honey on its own is also an excellent remedy against food poisoning. Simply eat three tablespoons of raw honey every day. You can also eat raw honey regularly. 

Garlic

Garlic is a highly antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral substance, which is why it is also an excellent remedy for food poisoning. The only problem is that most people do not like the smell of garlic. 

Eat a fresh garlic clove and swallow it with water. If eating raw garlic is not an option for you, you can try and drink 4-5 drops of garlic juice. Mix garlic oil and soybean oil and massage the mixture on your stomach; this will help get additional relief. Garlic, due to its antifungal properties, will eliminate any bacteria present in your gut. 

Cumin

Cumin tea is the best way to consume cumin. Since cumin seeds are not easily chewable, you can make tea out of them. Cumin is known to help with abdominal pain and stomach inflammation that food poisoning causes you. If the pain is too much, you can try making this cumin tea for instant relief.

In a pot, take a cup of water and add a tablespoon of cumin seeds. Let this mixture simmer for 2 minutes. Now add a teaspoon of freshly extracted parsley. Add a little salt for taste. Drink this twice a day until any improvement.

If you do not want to add parsley, you can try making a cumin tea using a tablespoon of cumin seeds, salt, and asafoetida. You should drink this tea three times a day to get better results.
