It would be nice to hear that your efforts have made a difference in someone's life. You may have done a favor or a good deed for someone who now doesn't seem all that appreciative, and may not have even thanked you. Yet you probably didn't do a good thing just to be praised, but because it was necessary and it made you feel good to be helpful. Focus on that now, and on the good you did - even if it hasn't been acknowledged. You know that you contributed, and you did make a difference. It would be nice to be recognized, but your help still counts regardless of whether it was acknowledged or not.
